Fred Curchack has written, directed, and performed 78 theater works, most of them with original songs. His theater studies include the High School of Performing Arts, Queens College, Indian Kathakali, Japanese Noh, Balinese Topeng, Commedia dell’Arte, choreography with Alwin Nikolais, and training with Grotowski’s Polish Theater Lab. He is Professor of Aesthetic Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas.

His past work includes scoring and arranging for
Happily Ever After
an official selection of
The New York International Fringe Festival 2011
as well as
a collaborative large-scale visual music installation
commissioned by The Dallas Arts District.
More recently, Patrick had the honor of participating in the New Dramatists 2014 Composer-Li- brettist Studio. In May 2014, Patrick won the 2014 Frederick Loewe Award for Musical Theatre with collaborator, Carlos Murillo. He made his Off Broadway debut in summer 2014 with As We Lie Still, an official selection of The New York Musical Theatre Festival. He will premier his next musical, The Ballad Hunters, Off Broadway in October 2015.
